So this is the weekend where so many will pretend to be religious. What the Nelson family will be participating in is the following....
Friday night is a pool b-day party for one of the girls friends. That will be a fun filled night of me trying to drag them out of the pool with crying and whining of them insisting the party is not over.
Saturday- I will struggle in waking them up to go to the Easter Egg hunt, AKA candy fest 2009. I am sure it will be cold and more than likely rainy. This is waht we all do as parents. We will get there the kids will ask 1 million times if it is time to go yet then the horn will finally sound. They will run out and in 3 seconds all the candy and eggs will be scooped up by all the darling Brownsburg children. We will then struggle getting them into the car and listen to the crys of the egg hunt not really being over so soon. I might then go home and start drinking because it will be noon more than likely.
Sunday- I will once again struggle with waking up the girls, but first I will remember that the Easter Bunny forgot to put the baskets together. I will run around the house trying to remember where we hid everything. Devon and I will get in a fight about where we hid all the goodies. Eventually we will find half of the items we bought. The girls will then wake up and we will have to rush to make it to our exciting Easter Brunch at the Holiday Inn Pyramids. We will get there only to have the girls wonder why we can not swim in the water park. We will eat quickly because throughout dinner we will be asked 900 times when we will be doing the Easter Egg hunt at my parents. Once again the lovely Indiana weather will blow so the easter outfits for the girls will not be appropriate they will get ill and freeze.
I am looking forward to singing on some rockband and having mamosas!!! The day will come to a close and the girls will look at me and say we did not do anything all weekend.
WHAT!!!!!
